Parking will be along the righthand side of the road - please consider other road users and leave spaces for cars to pass in both directions.

Full race results (in PDF format) are available from here.

Part of the Slaney Olympic Open Trail Series arranged by Jane and Graham Porter. This is a fun series of three races for spring 2010 offering running on undulating forest tracks with some panoramic views.

This first race in March is on a forested hill (no name - Little Sliabh Bui?) just west of Sliabh Bui north of Ferns and is a 4 miler with some gentle hills.

leona bermingham Mar 4, 8:38PM hi i am interested in doing this race. i have done one hill race in howth so was wondering is this race open to all levels. i would really like to do a mountain race, so any guidance and help would be apreciated.
keith heary Mar 4, 8:43PM hi

the race is ideal for beginners and i would highly recommend, i ran the 3 races in the series last year and have to say they where fantastically organised by jane and graham porter. sliabh bui is on trails and is easily manageable for everyone.
leona bermingham Mar 15, 11:06PM hi keith. thanks for that. will definitly give it a go.
leona bermingham Mar 21, 9:55PM if anyone is heading over to this race from swords area or other locations close by,can i follow on, as i am unsure of location of race. or if any1 wants a lift, the offer is there
Jane Porter Mar 23, 11:42PM Hi Leona,
Finding the race should be no problem. Just drive down the N11 Wexford road. As you come into Ferns look out for a right turn L5070 to Askamore. Follow the Trail Race signs from here. Look forward to seeing you.
Donall Flanagan Mar 27, 7:11PM Leona, I'd be happy to share a lift. Can meet any where near the M50 on the southside eg. leaving from Sandyford. Or I'm happy to share a drive down.. my number is 087 61255 26
