Open Trail Series
The 6K,two lap course is run on grassy tracks in the sand dunes. The start of the lap is on a flat, wide grass track for about one kilometer before turning up into the grass covered dunes with many short ups and downs and with sea views looking across to the Saltee Islands. Then it is back on to the flat for the second lap. Spectators will be able to get a bird's eye view of the runners from the top of the dunes. There will be a short junior event before the main race. Weather permitting, this will be followed by barbeque and prizegiving in the Dunes as the sun sets on a perfect summer's evening!

| Jane Porter | Jun 14, 5:35AM | We have just noticed that the time given for the Dunes in June was incorrect. The start is 7pm not 11am. It seems that an anticyclone is heading our way with promises of glorious summer evenings...perfect for a run by the seaside. Lots of fun, loads of prizes and a barbeque to boot. Registration will be in the carpark at the harbour from 6pm. This is the fourth and final race in the Slaney Olympic Open Trail Series. Entry is a mere €5. |

| Jane Porter | Jun 18, 4:16PM | Directions from the general Dublin direction take the N11 all the way to Wexford. Continue on ring roar around Wexford which now beccomes the N25 to Rosslare. At the 3rd roundabout take 2nd exit for Rosslare. About 1 mile further on there is a signpost for Kilmore Quay (R739). Follow this all the way to Kilmore Quay. Turn right at the small roundabout at the harbour.There will be a signpost for registration here. If you have any problems call me on 0876799490 Good weather forecast. Bbq going ahead.
