Rachel Cinnsealach Feb 13, 11:02PM Hi Folk's,

I am looking for some running and non running volunteers for the Trooperstown race next Sunday.

Conor Brangan Feb 13, 11:20PM Hi Rachel,

I can volunteer as a runner, provisional on getting a lift from another volunteer though so I'm there in time! I'm in the Dublin 12 area but can travel to the city centre or down to Dundrum/Balally to meet up with a lift, would you know if any of the other volunteers would be coming from that general direction?

Conor
Donal Troddyn Feb 14, 10:36AM I'm in the same boat as Conor. I'm in Dun Laoghaire, and if any other volunteer has a spare seat heading down from anywhere in the South city, I could make it to them. Otherwise, I'll be pedaling down, and wouldn't get there early enough to help out in any meaningful way.
Eavan Casey Feb 14, 5:19PM Hi Conor/Donal,

I am volunteering too and will be driving from near UCD if you both still need a lift. Can you email me at eavan.casey1 at gmail dot com and we can sort out where and when.

Ken Barry Feb 17, 1:28PM Just checking where registration is, the Coach House Roundwood, correct ?
Stuart Scott Feb 17, 1:52PM Hi all,

I will have IMRA Yearbooks for sale at the Trooperstown event. These hardcover books contain articles and full colour photos, capturing the highlights of the 2010 season. It's a great way of explaining to the 'uninitiated' why we all love running in the hills and that we're not entirely mad. Also guaranteed to generate conversation in any setting. However, the main reason for buying a copy is to give you a chance to censor it (or get the excuses ready)...350 photos means you have a high chance of featuring!

For a better description and some sample pages, see http://imra.ie/yearbook

I hope to have them available at registration, and will definitely be in the pub after the race. The cost is e15.

Stuart.
Brendan Lawlor Feb 17, 1:53PM Ken

John Shiels Feb 20, 8:31PM Hi all,
Having a few problems uploading photos so I've put them on my site for the moment
I've a link from the front page and the news/events pages.(http://www.actionphotography.ie)

Brendan Lawlor Feb 21, 10:37AM Great race yesterday - well done Rachel and helpers.

There were one or two folk wearing headphones - this is not allowed at IMRA events as it is very dangerous... you won't hear other runners if they call or warn you. No doubt the people concerned are new and don't mean to upset race organisers or old time hill runners but if you do see anyone wearing the offending items perhaps have a quick word to put them right :)
Rene Borg Feb 21, 8:47PM Team results are up.
