CONNACHT & GALWAY TRAIL ADVICE

AuthorDateMessage
Brian Fitzsimons Feb 9, 10:17PM Hi folks,

I need to get your advice. I've just relocated West to Galway and I'm not familiar with the terrain so I dont know where to run. I've searched the IMRA site and I cant seem to pinpoint the Connacht mountain trails.

I'd appreciate if anyone can help me out as i'd like to get back out running soon and I just dont know the area well enough.

Many thanks for your advice, Brian

Brian Dunphy Feb 26, 5:43PM Hey Brian,
I'm in something of a similar situation. I'm in Galway a few months but hace yet to go West for some proper running. There is the Connemara National Park, in Letterfrack which has a circa 10km well laid out track with a nice climb to the top of Diamond Hill bit it seems a bit too planned when there's wildness all about but not a bad place to start. If you hear of anything you might let me know.

best of luck,
