Route Description:

FOLLOW THE TAPE. Junior route is about 5.7km and is very technical underfoot. Senior route has muddy,rocky and technical sections with sudden changes of direction. There will only be tape at junctions and in the trackless forest sections, there is no blocking tape, no comfort/continuity tape. If you arrive at a junction and there is no tape you have missed a turn and should go back to the previous junction

Getting There:

Registration at Lamb Doyle's Pub starting at 09:30am and closing at 10.30 Sharp! Lamb Doyles is on the corner of Hillcrest Road and Woodside Road. The pub is on the road to the West of Lambs Cross on the directions map on the the event page.

Organisers Instructions:

You can register for 2015 membership on the website prior to the race. Race Registration opens at 9.30am and closes at 10.30am. If you are not in the Queue by this time then you will not be registered for the race. You can of course run anywhere on the mountain you like but please do not interfere with the race. The start will be at 11am and is 500m away from Lamb Doyles. There is no parking at the race start or finish. Registration will close fully at 10.40am to allow the laptop to register new runners. Please register beforehand to save time. The route is very technical underfoot and trailshoes are recommended. No jacket = no result, bring the mandatory jacket and have it crossing the finish line

Volunteers (Non-Running)

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
