Route Description:

The Glen of Aherlow LOOP DE LOOP course three times.

Getting There:

From Dublin: Exit the M7 Dublin to Limerick Motorway onto the M8 Dublin to Cork Motorway heading for Cahir. Exit at junction 10 onto the N24 Limerick Road and head into Bansha. From Bansha follow the R663 signposted Aherlow, the hotel is signposted on the right.

From Cork: Exit the M8 Cork to Dublin Motorway onto the N73 and then onto the R573 signposted Ballylanders. Exit onto the R662 and proceed through Galbally onto the R663 following signs for Tipperary town. The hotel is signposted on the left.

From Limerick: Follow the N24 from Limerick to Tipperary town. Turn right onto Bridge Street signposted Lisvernane. Continue forward onto Station Road and at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Seallagheen Road. Follow the signs for the Glen of Aherlow Nature Park. The entrance to the hotel in on the right.

Both Cork and Shannon airports are about one hour’s drive from the Hotel, with Dublin airport being just over two hours.

Organisers Instructions:

Race sign in on the morning of the race:- 7:30 to 7:45.

This race is pre-registration only. There will be NO REGISTRATION ON THE DAY.

If you have already run an IMRA race this year, please bring the race number given to you at that race as it is valid for the full year.

Under IMRA rules for competitors safety, it is mandatory to bring and carry a jacket that is shower and wind proof for the entire race. Any competitor seen not carrying or wearing their jacket at any stage in the race will be disqualified. There are no exceptions to this rule!

The Aherlow House hotel.

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
