Organisers Instructions:
Race One of Navigational Challenge (NC). Series of 3 races totalling 50km, on open mountain, navigational ability is required. Runners need to be able to navigate to a series of checkpoints issued as grid references at race start.
Races are weather dependant and there is a compulsory kit requirement, comprising map,compass,waterproof jacket, food and water. Recommended map East West Mapping map of Dublin & N. Wicklow Mountains The use of a GPS is not allowed. The winner of the series will be the runner who completes all three races ion the shortest accumulated time.

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
