Route Description:
Senior men start is at 420m altitude. Finish for all races is at Gradisce at 1660m altitude.

Junior women: 4.5 km / 450m
Women / Junior men: 8.5 km / 1030m
Men: 12.0 km / 1315m

Race profile

Categories: Senior men/women, junior men/women (born 1991-1993). Note juniors born in 1994 will not be selected as Worlds are uphill only.
Teams: Men (6 to run / 4 to score), women & junior men (4/3), junior women (3/2)

Selection basis: First two (three in senior men) in trial races on 14th August with other positions based on trial race and mountain running and cross-country/road performances in 2009/2010. All selection is subject to the athlete being capable of finishing within 10% of the trial winners time and 20% of the international race winners times. Only athletes who meet the criteria will be selected this means that full teams may not be sent.

The senior men kilometres have the following profiles: 1%, 8%, 15%, 5%, 11%, 15%, 22%, 11% (has 400m at 25%), 13%, 10%, 1%, 14%.
