Gerry BradyJul 24 2012, 12:11amRace route map and profile on IMRA page. Note the senior men have an up and down loop at the start. Volunteers welcome.
barry o'sheaJul 30 2012, 11:18amjust wondering if there is any more info on the race route for this. does it go up first climb at car park then turn back down the same route. Also does the second main climb start at the waterfall after running back on the road for a few kms?
Gerry BradyJul 30 2012, 11:14pmBarry, it is as you described. The senior men do an up and down loop on a forest path on the Lugnaquilla side of the road then run along the road towards Drumgoff for one kilometre before turning right to go up the zig-zags. This broadly reflects the course profile for the Worlds. The map profile shows the relative difference in steepness of both climbs.
jim smithAug 3 2012, 12:18pmhi,

do you need to pre-register to do the trial race or can you just show up on the day? thanks

Dermot MurphyAug 3 2012, 1:23pmYou can just turn up on the day.
Gerry BradyAug 9 2012, 9:34amA few more helpers would be appreciated particularly some to record finish times at the junior finish and at Cloghernagh summit.
Richie MacLiamAug 10 2012, 4:59pmis this open to all imra members all is only for regular winners?
Gerry BradyAug 10 2012, 5:28pmThe more the merrier Richie, long tough climb, good practice, and a nice jog afterwards back to start! Registration is in a small car park which is 3 km from Drumgoff on road into the valley, allow 75 plus minutes from Dublin
Richie MacLiamAug 10 2012, 6:00pmthanks gerry, have been getting lazy in recent weeks so this'll be the perfect pick-me-up! looking forward to it
