So Scarr will be on Wednesday 21st May - Race Director required, I will act as Deputy Race Director

Carrick Mountain will be on Wednesday 4th June - Race Director Niamh O'Ceallaigh

Niamh O'CeallaighMay 28 2014, 12:17amA few more volunteers for Carrick would be greatly appreciated!

Niamh O'CeallaighMay 28 2014, 12:54pmThanks John
Niamh O'CeallaighJun 4 2014, 10:23amJust a reminder that there is no parking at all up the lane to the start. It is a 10 min walk from registration to the start.

Please be considerate when parking. It is important that we respect the village and locals!

It would be great to see lots of you back in the pub afterwards for prizegiving.
Niamh O'CeallaighJun 4 2014, 11:17amOne more thing....

Route will be varied from that shown on the site. Distance will be shorter. This is to try reduce the amount of fire road. It will be well marked and I will get a map up after lunch if I can.

Niamh
Niamh O'CeallaighJun 4 2014, 3:15pmWeather is fab down here in Glenealy.
See links below to new route. it will be fast and furious at just 6km. Terrain is varied and some very rough underfoot in places.
Please make sure to follow the tape and signs ... not the person in front!!

New route has been posted to the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/11388560359/.

Leah McCabeJun 4 2014, 4:11pmHi, will there still be an early start as it's only 6km?
Mikey FryJun 4 2014, 5:09pmThere will b no early start tonight!!!!!!!so says Niamh :)
Kevin O'RiordanJun 4 2014, 5:17pmSpeaking from experience as previous years' results and records secretary, I'm sure Pól will be delighted to hear that :)
Pól Ó MurchúJun 4 2014, 8:37pmAbsolutely Kevin!!!
John J BarryJun 4 2014, 8:59pmWell done Niamh. A very good route. Shorter but superior to previous version. Think we could call it Ballinastoe's "little sister"
Mick HanneyJun 4 2014, 9:48pmI second that. Super short tough route. Thanks Niamh and helpers.
Jason DowlingJun 4 2014, 10:56pmThanks to all the organisers/helpers for a great race this evening and especially to whoever marked the course!! It was the first time that I was ever in a position on my own running (not once, but on two occasions) due to the way that the field split up and thankfully followed the tape to eventually find my way back to the finish. Thanks again.
Regina KellyJun 4 2014, 11:16pmI have to say that was the most fun IMRA race I've done so far. Such varied terrain and a nice fun descent. Obviously the course was well though out so well done to everyone involved!
Stuart ScottJun 5 2014, 12:43amMost 'interesting' route ever. More please. Thanks Niamh!
Louis MulleeJun 5 2014, 9:37amSome Photos from last night up on the IMRA Facebook page (not sure how to add them to IMRA site)
Caoimhin MacMaolainJun 5 2014, 10:33amThought last night's course was absolutely brilliant! Not sure how it was devised as there was no obvious route there - many thanks to those involved in setting it up and organizing it.

Also, congratulations to Emma Hand, who has had a fantastic Leinster League. I think she made it 7 straight wins last night in the ladies race, and presumably can not therefore be caught by anyone for the 2014 title.
Brian CulnJun 5 2014, 2:49pmGreat run last night.

Any update on the results appearing on the website?

Thanks.
Mick KehoeJun 5 2014, 8:56pmHas anyone got a GPS plot of the route
Mick HanneyJun 5 2014, 9:01pmhere you go.

Heres a slower one, in case Micks is too quick for you..
Joe DalyJun 6 2014, 12:11pmHi, Are there any results being posted for Carrick?
Trevor KerleyJun 6 2014, 2:49pmHi Niamh. Is there some problem with posting the results? Some indicator from you would be good. Thanks
Stuart ScottJun 6 2014, 2:52pmI'd say the results depend on whether the laptop and Pol are in the same location. They'll be up in due course I'm sure!
Dermot MurphyJun 6 2014, 3:00pmStuart - I have the lap top. The file was sent to Pol on Wednesday night - not sure what the delay is in getting them up. He was trying correct some of the runners details as there are some missing details from previous - it would make sense to have these corrected before posting Wednesday results - but I dont know if this is the issue.
Brendan LawlorJun 6 2014, 3:03pmPatience people - ye were all much faster than the previous week if thats any help..
Brían O'MearaJun 6 2014, 3:06pmGreat course, by the way. Lots of opportunity for Death or Glory on the final downhill.
Richard NunanJun 7 2014, 4:56pmPol is busy this week

Results are now up.
