Well that was brutal Fast and Furious met Ben and Ashford to grab a lift up to the old Viv scalping the race conditions are amazing nice cool breeze no French fancies on the go but will get over that nice warm up to the start of the race little farting round for a few minutes and then have to listen to Vivian waffle on usually just says one two three…we’re off of that horrible fire Road gasping for air over the top down the hill Niall flies past me going so fast afterwards he said he’s legs were jelly right turn along nice tracks into the tree felling going down and I’m still going ok a few trying to pass I just kept Ben and pól behind up to top not nice little technical drop drop then down lovely fire road(not) again where I met the lovely Peter Bell flipper floppers to a stinky little hill last round to the left then down the lovely fire Road again all the way to cross the road in to woods left turn please where there was a nice lovely new section still lots of turns jumping logs running through trees down managed to keep the guys at Bay to the top and then some lovely down hill section with lovey big rocks etc bombed down that hill with the lads somewhere behind turn right flew along a bit right turn to last uphill and I knew there was still a bit to the finish actually kept a good speed to the top of the top as fast as I could pretty good for me maybe I was just thinking about French fancies awesome but anyway so lashed up there eventually got the finish line still okay nobody behind me crossed the finish line that was tough fast madness nice chats with the crew at the finish line as always nice to run back to the car its the only time I actually do a proper warm up and warm down at a race myself and Ben head to the pub too have lots of lovely sandwiches no chips as Ben had said they had last week then Vivian got on with his lovely speech and prizes got some chocolate its great to get the old chocolate and make everybody eat them with you thanks viv and crew for an amazing race as much as that isn’t my favourite race always good to get out get those legs moving thanks to all those volunteers who stood round a good day Imra…mikey
