On another good weather day, the second Spring trail league event was held in Kilsheelan forest in Waterford. Despite a small turnout, there were competitive races in both the men?s and women?s races. John Landy from Clonmel (2:27 marathon) continued his fitness comeback with a win. Tom Callery stayed close for much of the race but lost some ground near the end. In the women?s race, Maureen McGinley and Geraldine O?Shea were together at halfway but on the second loop Maureen gradually pulled away for a good win.

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped before and at the event: Geraldine O?Shea, Nuala and Tom Callery, and John Casey.
