Brian FennessyNov 14 2012, 5:01pmHi brendan

Sound great would be up for that.

Stuart ScottNov 14 2012, 5:06pmCount me in too please!

Would the Glasnamullen/War Hill route be a possibility too? Weather and parking might dictate against it I know. I like the idea of the mandatory pint!
Philip BrennanNov 14 2012, 8:49pmAs long as you are buying the drink Lawlor, I'll be there!
John KellyNov 15 2012, 12:07pmGreat idea but why not on the the wednesday night the 19th. I'm no socialite but even i can manage to get invited out the friday night before Christmas.
Brendan LawlorNov 15 2012, 12:40pmGreat response folks - lets do this!!

Stuart, parking for Glasnamullan is the problem - we can accommodate far more cars if we start at Ballinastoe

John (Kelly) - feel free to organise a run on Dec 19th but its not the Solstice ;) !

Brennan, fog awf with yerself...but I do owe you a pint!
James ClancyNov 15 2012, 1:13pmKeen looking forward to it!!

Thanks Brendan

James
Paul NolanNov 15 2012, 1:57pmHope to make the run.
Alan AylingNov 15 2012, 3:58pmSounds good. Do we need a permit from someone? ;-)
Dale AllmanNov 20 2012, 9:12amId be interested in this .will be finishing up in work that day but should be able for this depending on time it kicks off at.
Brian FureyNov 20 2012, 2:27pmWill be there for the run as well. Should be good!
Your MammyNov 20 2012, 3:23pmDear Brendan,

Alan is allowed go on the run.

But he is not allowed fizzy drinks after 7 as it makes him hyper so it's best he sticks to the Guinness.

His Mammy.
suzanne kennyNov 21 2012, 12:24amsounds great! i would be up for doing this run too !
Pól Ó MurchúNov 22 2012, 7:51pmAlways a good night...pity ill miss this year. Hope it's not as windy as last year though...was literally lifted off the boardwalk and flung on the ground! Ouch.
Ken CowleyNov 23 2012, 6:49amHope to do it
Brendan LawlorNov 23 2012, 7:42amHi all

We will start this run at 7pm so any of you socialites can get back to Dublin at a reasonable hour to party on. The rest of us will head to the Coach House where hopefully Brian Lawlor (the owners son and an IMRA regular) will have the hot whiskey's and mince pies ready...I can almost smell the cloves...

For any of you who can't make the Friday, John Kelly (splitter!!) is kindly organising a non Solstice run on Wednesday 19th - see a separate thread
roisin mc donnellNov 27 2012, 8:01pmBrilliant Brendan and hopefully we will have a bit of snow !!
Dale AllmanNov 28 2012, 8:47amSnow would be pretty cool, it would really add to the run on the night and more so the hot whiskeys after !
Brian LawlorDec 17 2012, 6:25amHead lamp charged and mince pies ready!!!! See you there!!
Siobhain DugganDec 17 2012, 12:02pmsounds great, i havent done this before but hoping to make it!
anyone running in their 'geansai nollag'?
Brendan LawlorDec 17 2012, 3:11pmIf the Mayan's are correct we will be having our final hill run of all eternity at 7pm next Friday - what a sweet way to go! I believe they were mistaken and we will all live to talk about it over Christmas.

The route starts at the Ballinastoe car park, then goes up into that forest with an immediate right hand turn, up the fire road for about 400m and then take a left up the fire break, cross the fire road again, and up track and out onto open mountain. Follow track up until you meet Wicklow Way, right on WW up onto White Hill and then on up to top of Djouce.

Up and back should take between 60-80 minutes and people can turn back at White Hill if they have enough at that stage. Bring headtorch, high viz jacket and don't get lost on us!

Afterwards we will be heading to Coach House pub in Roundwood for a Christmas pint.(Lets hope Brian come's good with the mince pies - no pressure Landlord!)

Please post here if you haven't already done so , so we have some idea of numbers and if you arrive a bit late just head out following the route described and you'll soon find us up there somewhere

Not an official IMRA event, so no insurance, no first aid etc etc

Good luck to the Wednesday crew (Splitters!!)
Justin O'KeeffeDec 18 2012, 10:56amWill be there, was an amazing run last year...hope its not as windy this year

Ruth LynamDec 21 2012, 11:29amLooks as if there will be 4 of us there.
Paul MahonDec 21 2012, 11:37amHil n I will be there too Brendan - seeing as we are just down the road it would be remiss not to join though no snow for sure tonight.

Anyone looking for some last minute locally produced quality craft pressies could do worse than drop into Crannmor Pottery - on road coming up to woods from Djouce Golf Club crossroads - Warming drinks and mince pies possible too before (Up to 6.45) and for a short time after the run (~8.15 -> ~9). Thereafter it will be off out to Roundwood we must go :-)

Rachel CinnsealachDec 21 2012, 11:38amWow, loads of people are coming tonight, This is going to be great.
Brendan LawlorDec 21 2012, 12:27pmGood man Mahon, salesman's neck on you like a jockey's ......!!

I will have a box of A1 sized 2013 wall planners with lots of nice photos, mainly taken by Action Photography, with me at run so anyone that wants one just come over to the white "Outfront" van before or after the run.
Eddie DalyDec 21 2012, 2:02pmBrendan,

Jeff SwordsDec 21 2012, 5:15pmWhich Balinstoe Car Park, the one we use for the IMRA races, or the one one the road to Sally Gap on the White Hill side ?
