Considering it for this summer and looking for any info that might be helpful re: transport/ accommodation/ conditions/ kit etc... Looking at 4/5 days possibly unsupported but not sure how practical that is. Any feedback welcome. Aengus |
| Dylan Waldron | Feb 23 2017, 3:41pm | Hi Aengus, i've never run it but the official UTMB site will probably have some great info regarding the route and stats etc, as the race follows the same route largely i think. Geneva is the nearest airport with loads of shuttle buses to Chamonix (1 hour) which has tons of accommodation options from cheap to 5 star. Regards the kit i'd definitely pack for all weather - even in summer a storm can bring serious conditions in that part of the Alps. Loads of Alpine huts to stay along the way if you want and most include dinner and breakfast for your dollars - check out the Club Alpin Francais site for details. Good Luck ! |
