Our resident Cork/Kerry expert, Fergal Buckley has coordinated the following routes:

Saturday: Healy Pass to Glengarrif (approx.17km)

We start at the top of the Healy Pass and head north eastwards, climbing about 200m to claim the summit of Knockowen. Then we head eastwards, taking in the slightly lower summits of Cushnaficulla and Knockeirky. We then drop to a saddle before climbing again another 100m or so to Ram's Hill. At this point we begin our final descent, veering eastwards off the Caha ridge, towards Crossferry Mountain (to the north of Barley Lake) to pick up the minor road that will bring us the last few kilometres through Glengarriff Forest Park and back to base.
Sunday: Circuit of Bere Island (as long or short as you want!)
On Sunday we don our sea legs and catch the ferry to Rerrin on Bere Island! The plan here is to do some variant of the Beara Way around the island, which in its entirety is 19km of minor roads and off-road trail. We can tailor much shorter loops if the legs are still feeling the previous day's efforts. Food and liquid sustenance afterwards in Rerrin as we await our ferry home.
Routes are weather dependable and subject to change. We have alternative routes in place should the weather be unfavourable.
Spaces are limited to 20 on a first come first served basis, so if you are definitely interested please sign up ASAP. Place will only be guaranteed when payment is made. Costs will be in the region of €100 for three nights self-catering accommodation, transport to the start of the run on Saturday and return ferry to Bere Island; however final price will depend on numbers.
