Starting off Thursday in a comfortable 8th position, working his way up the field he over taking the local favorite Hamdan AL KHATRI who had lead for most of the race with 40km to go, finishing almost 3 hours ahead of him in the end in a time of 36:04 Min. Eoin has achieved his goal, HIS 3rd UTMB Podium in 2019. Saving his best for last. A fantastic achievement!! Seeing the pictures posted from this years gig, the weather gods seem to have been a little kinder this time round. I've no doubt your minds eye is filled with delightful views of them Jebles, cliffs and canyons. Here is hoping you have no broken bones and just one bit of a graze :) There were 10 more runners flying the Irish flag in the 130km, 50km and 10km races. Great seeing the familiar Wicklow Way Race people doing the do too - well done everyone. . |
