AuthorDateMessage
Liam VinesApr 23 2024, 1:14pmIMRA are putting on two Navigation Training courses at a subsidized cost. The courses are aimed at moving runners from Tape following races like LL Wednesday night races to more navigational based races like Irish Championship races or Leinster championship races.

First date 11th May is with Paul Nolan (1 Step More) and will have 6 places.
It will be based in Laragh Co.Wicklow.

Second date 2nd June is with Kathryn Fitzpatrick (Two Rock Outdoor) and will have 8 places and also be based in Laragh.

All places will be sold in IMRA’s shop for €25pp and will be on a first come first served basis..

Please please only look to take up one of the places if you have a plan to to take on some of the more navigational based races.
Use it or loose it kinda thing…
Also please please please don’t buy a place if you are not 100% sure you can go.

First course will be on sale on Friday morning 26th April at 9am (6 places)

Second course will go on sale on 3rd May at 9am (8 places)

All who get a place will be emailed the full details..
Sorcha KearneyApr 23 2024, 1:56pmIt’s a pity both dates are based at the same location in Leinster
Andy KeelingApr 23 2024, 2:19pmI guess because the majority of the IMRA races where gps is not allowed take place in Leinster. Most unmarked races outside Leinster allow runners to follow their watch.
Elaine LeeApr 24 2024, 10:24amI will be doing a Mountain Skills 1 course in a few weeks. Will these Navigation Training courses cover similar content, or would it be worth doing both? Thanks.

Will there be any more nav courses before the end of the year ?
Liam VinesJul 9 2024, 2:10pmHi David
Won’t be any more courses this year but there will be 3 Nav Challenges coming up.
These have long and short versions and are suitable for beginners or experienced navigators… They are always a great morning out..
