Barry MurrayMay 27 2025, 3:03pmHi Folks,

For those planning to make a trip to the Kingdom in July for the Dingle Trail Running Festival there is a camping option nearby. I have added the details to the Brandon Ridge 1/2 race page.

There will be 3 x races over the weekend:

Fri 11th July: Brandon Vertical
Saturday 12th July: Brandon Ridge 1/2
Sunday 13th July: Dingle Trail

The campsite will be busy in July so if planning to camp, book ASAP !

Andrew CoghlanJun 24 2025, 9:59pmJust back in country after being abroad. Disappointed race sold out so quickly. If we can make our own way to the start, does this bypass the bus limitations?
Barry MurrayJun 25 2025, 11:59amAndrew, just message me on the number above and I'll let you know
Robert CunninghamJun 25 2025, 2:18pmMore Volunteers are needed for this race.
Please Volunteer on event page if you can.
Barry MurrayJul 1 2025, 10:06pmRace entry officially closed now. I couldn't get you in at this stage even if you handed me a brown paper envelope. No transfers possible either.

Still looking for 2-3 course marshals for the Brandon 1/2 race. You would still get to do the Vert and Trail race if you were down for the weekend.

We have IMRA runners coming from all parts of the island so should be a great weekend. Big contingent camping too in the Rainbow hostel.

See you all then.
Danielle Rosenberg PolakJul 3 2025, 9:58amHi, I know you are inundated with requests already,
But I missed the closing date and if there is any chance of
Registering late, I would be so grateful. I am from Dingle so
I can organise my own transport if that makes any difference?
Barry MurrayJul 7 2025, 1:15pmJust sent an email out to all the volunteers for Saturdays Brandon Ridge 1/2 Marathon race.

Thanks to everyone on the volunteer list, we have everything covered now.

Bring the sun lotion folks :)

Warren SwordsYesterday, 9:51pmThanks to Barry and his small army for yesterday’s race. It was nothing short of sensational and will live long in the memory.

The course was breathtaking, just views for miles along incredible ridge lines. At one stage I could see Skellig and inch while tipping along the ridge. Stunning. Perfect day (maybe a little too hot) So many volunteers out on the mountain and along the course. Really appreciate giving up the time on such a stunning day.

Great craic afterwards with the large contingent who travelled down from Leinster.

I’ll be demanding an open top bus for all races.
Conor O'MahonyToday, 12:00amFantastically well organised race on Saturday, big kudos in particular to the marshalls for hauling water and gear up the hills in that heat. Brilliant course too, the views the entire way along more than made up for the heat!
And having the finish line at the pub was an especially nice bonus:).
Thanks everyone!
Barry MurrayToday, 9:27amThanks Warren and Conor, all the dots aligned for one !

That course is epic and its the first time I have ever seen it totally clear and out of the clouds.
Martin CooneyToday, 3:25pmThanks to Barry Murray as RD and to all the volunteers on the day for making this happen so that the rest of us could run the fantastic race.

Unbelievable course with great views on a roasting hot day- thanks to Paul Geaney's Pub for letting us use their facilites and providing food.

Race report gone up- hope it does the race justice.
Mick HanneyToday, 4:55pmGreat report Martin!

@Warren, I see from the photos there was a wire fence crossing or 2. Luckily no repetition of crotchgate. You must have learned your lesson.
