Thomas PhelanApr 14 2025, 11:22pmLooking forward to welcoming everyone back to Tory Hill in the Sunny South East *(hopefully its sunny) for the next race in the IMRA South East league. After some great results in first two league races this is chance to get in on the action of this great 7 race series.
A perfect race for beginners with 7.8km and enough of a bite with 323mtrs gain for seasoned runners alike, while being surrounded with stunning views of Kilkenny, Wexford, Carlow, Tipp, and Waterford. We will have a short course race for juniors on the day.
Also to reduce waste, please bring a reusable cup for drinks at the finish line to wash down the lovely Sambos and the now famous Orange Chocolate Brownies which are worth signing up for alone. Registration is opening next Monday morning. Thanks to the volunteers who will join us on the day, so please return the favor at an upcoming race.

Thomas PhelanApr 21 2025, 11:05amEntries are now open and always good to see a few trickle in, a nice way to run off the Chocolate eggs and the fun of a bank holiday weekend
Theresa CunninghamApr 21 2025, 11:13amThank you so much, see you all Sunday
Emmet McNamaraApr 22 2025, 2:37pmHi Thomas, apologies as I’ve just removed myself as a volunteer and entered to race instead on Sunday. I hope this is ok. I was meant to run Brandon last week but couldn’t unfortunately, as I was feeling unwell on the day. Need to get out and move the legs this weekend as a result!
Thomas PhelanApr 22 2025, 6:28pmThat's no problem Emmet, thanks for letting me know. You missed a cracker of a route on Saturday at Brandon hill alright
Maurice McCartanApr 24 2025, 8:29amHi Thomas,

I'm sorry but I've had to remove myself from the volunteer list as I have to work on Sunday.
Thomas PhelanApr 25 2025, 12:44pmThat's no problem Maurice, thanks for letting me know.
Thomas PhelanApr 25 2025, 12:48pmVolunteers emails just sent out with details for Sundays race. If you haven't received it let me know, thmsphelan at yahoo dot ie See you all Sunday morning.
Thomas PhelanApr 26 2025, 10:12pmJust back from marking the route for tomorrow mornings race (thanks very much Jarlath for the help) Good news, we have removed the short Out and Back section. Even more good news for you all is we have added an extra bit of vert on a nice new section recently cleared hillside which I'm sure you will all enjoy. Very Small bit of water on upper section of the route but nothing worth breaking out the swimming costume for. See you all in the morning

Mick HanneyApr 27 2025, 3:34pmThanks Thomas and team for a great event today on Tory hill.
A super mix of tracks and trails.
Liam BoweApr 27 2025, 5:17pmThank you Thomas and crew for a lovely trot around Tory Hill in south Kilkenny
Rob TobinApr 27 2025, 9:55pmThanks Tom and team. Tory Hill packs plenty in. Varied terrain, some challenging climbs and lovely fast descents. Not one to be outdone by last week's Brandon Hill HM... It's not an IMRA race in Kilkenny if you're not passing a summit cross twice! Great atmosphere and hospitality pre- and post-race. Thanks again.
Richard GallagherApr 28 2025, 9:59amThanks Thomas, Jarlath and crew for a great route around Tory Hill yesterday very enjoyable.
John Murphy74Apr 28 2025, 10:35amThanks to Tommy and crew for a great event. It was a really interesting course! Myself and Alexandra really enjoyed it even if the start did take me by surprise!
Thomas PhelanApr 28 2025, 10:44pmWould like to say huge thanks to Niamh and Paul for helping me RD ‘my local IMRA race’. Jarlath for everything in the lead up to the event and the team of volunteers/ family members who made it all go off so well on the day, cheers. Lovley to hear the feedback on the route, plus the new addition which you all seemed to enjoy. Congratulations to all the podium finishers and everyone who crossed the finish line. We really hope to see you all back again on the Tory hill trails next year for another two spins up to the cross.

Don’t forget next up is Race 4 of the SEL, a new route in the stunningly beautiful Comeragh mountains. Jarlath and I have a lovely loop around a Corrie lake awaiting you on the 24th May, see you all there. Tommy
