Vivian O'GormanMay 16 2025, 6:43pmHi All,

Due to the last storm and Coilte tree felling there are a few
new tracks this year. The Race start is about 10 minutes away from
the car park field and race registration.

I am looking for more Volunteers - Shadow Laptop Person - Carparking - Registration and Finish and Marshall...

The carparkers can be 'running ' .The others 'non running '. I need about 7/8 altogether...

Thanks...
Vivian O'GormanMay 18 2025, 4:17pmHi All,

I need a First Aid Person now please....

Thanks...
Gareth MorganMay 19 2025, 1:41pmWow these sell out quick! Any use for more volunteers outside of First Aid?
Vivian O'GormanMay 19 2025, 2:26pmHI All,

This race is now full and entries have closed!!!

I have enough Volunteers now except for a First Aider...

So any First Aiders out there that need a night out?? Where else would you be on a Wednesday evening!!!...

I will put up more info later but just letting you know - car parking will be in the usual field and the usual fees will apply. However the race start will be up the top of the track and turn left - about a 5/6 minute walk uphill. Race registration will be at the race start and NOT in the parking field...
Jean O'NeillMay 19 2025, 2:56pmIs Wed sold out even for the short course?

Vivian O'GormanMay 20 2025, 9:55amHi All,

Could I ask my Volunteers to be in the car park field for 5.30/5.45
if possible. Marshalls to be there for 6pm....

Race Registration will open at 6pm and close at 7.15pm The Registration is
5 or 6 minutes away from the car park field. It is NOT in the field...

The race starts beside registration.

Early Start - 7... Main Race - 7.30... Junior/Short Course - 7 40...

Please bring the kit as listed on the Event page. I will let you know
what to bring in the race tomorrow evening. You will definitely have to have
a Jacket and Hat/Buff...

NO Headphones and your race number on the front of your vest only
please...

And Carpool as much as you can. The Carpool section is on bottom
of the Event page...

The usual car park charges will apply...

I am away for the day. So any queries I'll answer this evening...
John Murphy74May 20 2025, 5:28pmCan you tell me the junior course route please.
Sallie EnnisMay 20 2025, 6:05pmI signed up to volunteer but you may have enough already! Happy to do anything that is needed, official first aid cert has expired but not squeamish, used to popping plasters on kids and myself!
Elizabeth WheelerMay 20 2025, 7:05pmBy the looks of it, I’ve missed all nearby carpooling options.
I will be in Sandford all day tomorrow. If anyone is heading to the race and was near a green line Luas stop north or South that I could get to, would you pick me up? My number is zero86 7948 zero 52.
Thanks
Vivian O'GormanMay 20 2025, 7:43pmThe Junior/Short Course...

The map is on the Event page -

A is the start and finish. The runners go to M3 and
turn left to M9. Turn left to M1 and on to the finish..

A lot of forest track I'm afraid...
Laura FlynnMay 20 2025, 8:08pmI’ll be going to race from Terenure Liz but going early as I’m helping. I could collect you somewhere if you don’t get a better offer so let me know. I think you might have my number?
Sean MurphyMay 20 2025, 8:16pmHi Elizabeth - I'll be passing Carrickmines Luas around 6.30pm if that worked for you?
Elizabeth WheelerMay 20 2025, 8:25pmThanks everyone for the speedy replies and generous offers. Sorted for a lift, thank you
Conor NolanMay 20 2025, 10:00pmRe Short/Junior course - it's on the Plotaroute map as a detour. Click on the dashed line (detour) and it becomes the main route. Then all info refers to it. Try it.
John Murphy74May 20 2025, 10:40pmThanks!
Greg RobinsMay 21 2025, 9:03pmMBUK buff found - will keep it in my bag for next time
Vivian O'GormanYesterday, 10:26amHi All,

Thank you to ALL my hard working Volunteers last
night. You made my life very easy!!!
Maike JürgensYesterday, 11:18amthank you Vivian and volunteers, little report added, i ran out of rhymes at the end.
Anna-May WoodsYesterday, 11:20amThanks for a great event. Beautiful night for it. A tough but quick course. Thanks to the volunteers and their shouts of encouragement. Enjoyed the afters and post race refreshments as always. We were promised cocktail sausages at the start, that kept me motivated
Alan KennedyYesterday, 12:00pmMany thanks to Viv, Conor and a large team of volunteers & Marshalls. Beautiful evening for a run and a super varied course. Still hate that long drag up the fire road to the finish but the rest of the course more than makes up for that. And great to see all the juniors again.
