There was a small turnout of IMRA runners in the Dublin intermediate. Brian Furey proved the best of them finishing 13th and counting on the silver medal winning Rathfarnham team. His performance shows considerable progress on his outing in the Dublin novice in October. Staying with him for much of the early part of the race was Jason Kehoe (Crusaders), a runner who is moving up the competitive ladder in leaps and bounds. Jason eventually paid the price and finished in 27th just behind elite orienteer and hill-runner David Healy (DSD). There were two Rene's in the field and they finished only seconds apart with Rene Borg (Crusaders) in 58th position. A much improved Crusaders cross-country team placed fifth.

Niamh Ni Cheallaigh (Crusaders) was top IMRA woman in 39th place and leading finisher on her club team. Another 30 seconds improvement and she would have been into the top half of the field which would represent significant improvement. Not far behind her was another Committee member Deirdre Ni Chearbhaill (Crusaders) in 53rd position and taking the vital fourth scoring position on the Crusaders team.
