Organisers Instructions:
This is a new race for the 2024 calendar. Starting from the Ballinabarney gap in south Wicklow, near the Glen of Imaal, the race will go up Ballineddan and Slievemaan, to Lugnaquilla, returning back to the start the same way.

You should visit / run past the stone pile marking the top of Ballineddan and Slievemaan on the way out and back. This means you should be within a few feet of each intermediate peak. You should run aroiund cairn that marks the top of Lug.

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
