Kerry Easter Training Weekend

AuthorDateMessage
Rene BorgJan 11 2012, 2:45pmPlanning for the next iteration of last year's successful Kerry Easter Training Weekend is now underway again and we are looking to a very similar itinerary with some great hill runs, the Killarney 5 mile race as an option for Friday and we plan to have two specialists giving a nice "warm-up" session each morning similar to the "speed and agility" and "yoga" sessions held last year.

Group accommodation and restaurant bookings will be organised and we will stay from the 6th to 9th April. If interested in this event mail me at rene at championseverywhere dot com and I'll keep you directly in the loop on details.

Itinerary and price for accommodation to follow soon as accommodation is filling up fast.

In 2013, we'll look for a "greater shake-up" of the weekend, so throw us all your ideas as well.
Rene BorgFeb 12 2012, 12:51pmhi all,

We have finally put together the final itinerary (I have put it up here and will be modifying it as we progress and know more: http://www.championseverywhere.com/kerry-easter-mountain-running-weekend-2012)

Remember this is not a professional event, even if we try our best to make it look like one, just a weekend arranged by friends for friends, so there is no insurance etc.

We will be staying in Kenmare once again from 6th April to 9th April in similar accommodation to last year (cottages/houses) and estimated price for accommodation is €75 with electricity. With restaurants and buses, you are probably looking to invest €155 in your weekend before any other expenses.

To state your interest, please fill out this survey before end of day next Sunday 19th: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2ZP66M2

Aoife JoyceFeb 18 2012, 9:29pmHi Deirdre,

Can you post your e-mail address and I'll send you a mail.

Thanks,

Aoife
Rene BorgFeb 19 2012, 10:06pmThanks to all who have registered so far, we've got 23 attendees booked in so far, so we may not hit last years lofty 35 but since we will not have time to finalise bookings the next few days, I am leaving the registration open.

As mentioned earlier, "if you miss the first gate", just send me an email and we'll see if there is anything we can do to fit in late-comers.
Deirdre ShineFeb 19 2012, 11:35pmHi Aoife. thanks for your reply,my email address is dshine121@gmail.com

Conor MurphyFeb 25 2012, 8:17amHi Rene - I'm based in Kenmare so hope to join in a couple of the events. Sent you my email address on Facebook.
Rene BorgFeb 25 2012, 9:22amThanks Conor, we are just about closing out now with 29 entrants and finalising accommodation, so will be sending mails out the the mailing list shortly and will include you on it.
Aoife JoyceMar 16 2012, 8:31amWe've had a bit of late demand for the Kerry trip so I'm considering booking another house to facilitate - to make this worthwhile we need another 1 or 2 people. Cost will be a little more than for the original people who signed up as I can't get the same accommodation deal. It'll be around 65 - 75 euros for the three nights (depending on the number of people).

Anyone interested can contact me at aoifejoy at gmail dot com

Full details of the trip available here: http://www.championseverywhere.com/kerry-easter-mountain-running-weekend-2012

Thanks,

Aoife
