Workshops for hill runners

Rene BorgMar 15 2012, 9:22amShort notice, but for those who've enjoyed my sessions over the last years or who are interested in this topic, Jason, Aoife and I are bringing over two specialists from London on natural movement to conduct a workshop specifically for the needs of mountain runners with the aim of providing people a tool-kit for handling greater volumes of work in training and becoming more powerful and more efficient performers in races.

It's on the 31st Mar in Dublin and 1st Apr at the Brockagh Resource Centre, trying to avoid the worst clashes with off-road events (although there are some). We will be back with more workshops, including 1-day ones, later in the year. The classes hold 15 people and a few spots are still available.

Interview with Tony Riddle (who will lead the course): http://www.championseverywhere.com/interview-with-tony-riddle-human-movement-expert

A blog post describing my first meeting with Tony when the idea of doing a specialised mountain running workshop was born: http://www.mountain-runner.com/2011/11/diary-two-specialist-all-answerspart-2.html

You can email me at rene@championseverywhere.com for details or just pay the deposit through the website if you need no further convincing.

The next event we are hoping to organise in June will feature Andrew Mouncey, one of the tutors on the UKA Fell and Mountain Running course, called "Training philosophy and methods of ultra-running" who completed the London to Paris 300 mile triathlon challenge and the workshop will hopefully coincide with the launch of his new book "Magic, madness and ultramarathon running".
