Calendar Clash - Again!!

AuthorDateMessage
Niamh O CeallaighDec 28 2012, 10:04pmI am sooooo disappointed to see that the Connaught Championships weekend clashes with the Snowdon International race again this year. In previous years there has been a super contingent of Irish runners and suypporters heading over to Wales. It is so close, it can basically be considered part of our calendar and with the Irish team doing so great last year - showing the potential to get a team medal next year, it would be great to get a big gang over. Last year we opted to head West for what is also always a great weekend, but this year we will head accross the sea :-(

Can the Connaught Champs be swapped to the weekend of the 6th / 7th July? Surely people won't want to run up Lug on consecutive weekends as currently on the calendar?

You're always going to have calendar clashes. At some stage in season you need to make a decision between two races. Maybe next year we can look at putting
Connacht Championships weekend on July weekend and Lugnacoille in mid-July instead.
