How to avoid blisters?

AuthorDateMessage
Johan DehantschutterApr 18 2014, 12:03pmHi, putting this query to all the ultra-runners out there. How do you avoid (prevent from happening) blisters on long runs? Any tips or tricks of the trade you'd like to share? Thanks

Brian O MurchuApr 21 2014, 7:26pmHi John,

I had this issue last year, what worked for me was replacing all my cotton socks with merino wool socks. I ran 3.5 hours at Dublin Peaks no problem which would have been unthinkable 6 months previously with cotton socks.
Regarding general foot hygiene, for some people Vaseline works, other people talc works. Probably best to try both to see which works best for you
