Brendan LawlorMay 6 2014, 3:08pmWalk the Line is a fund-raising event for the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and takes place over the night of Saturday 21st June 2014.

Our mountains can be used for so much – walking, climbing, camping and hill-running.

Our event “Walk the Line” aims to cater for both the seasoned hill-walkers /runners and also those who want to give the hills a try with a super route in and around the Glendalough area.

Jason DowlingJun 2 2014, 2:11pmI am thinking about doing a run (weather permitting, really bad weather = walk) over the course but would greatly appreciate anybody's experience that has run this in the past. I see that one of the requirements is a 20 to 35 Litre bag, as per http://walktheline.ie/information/ which is something that I wouldn't use for a run due to the extra weight (I have a 13 litre running bag which I use to carry supplies). Also, given that the registration doesn't finish until 20:30 and assuming a 2:15 (ish) run time, part of the running is going to be in the dark which is something that I've never done before so am hoping somebody can share their experiences of running this event in the past.
