I will be visiting based just outside of Ennis for 7-10 days at the end of April and would love to learn about trail/mountain runs/events from 5k to 20k or so in that area. Apr 19 Slievereagh (Kilfinnane) 7k, Apr 29 Ballyhoura Trail (half, full & ultra marathon) You might find details of other races (mainly road) here:- munsterrunning.blogspot.com Otherwise Munster colleagues reading this might direct you to nice trails in the Clare area. There's also a conversation on Facebook with about 40/50 trail and mountain runners in the SW, know one woman on it who works in Shannon so I can ask her. I'm on the Reeks a lot of weekends, 2 hours from Ennis but if I'm out on it and you like the idea of tackling the highest in the country let me know... |
