If you don’t you will be charged €5 for a replacement. Don’t moan at the volunteer about it it’s YOUR fault. *Be early be even earlier to be able to carpool. Carpooling must be the way forward for IMRA the better we become at it the more race venues it can open up. *As with WSL if IMRA pay for parking YOU pay for parking. Unless your car is full then it’s free. *Go to all of the registration desks. Sign in and get your chip zapped. Its not that hard but if one person does it wrong it makes a mess for the volunteers and the RD will be late to the prize giving. *Put a bit of thought into whether to take the early start or the normal start. Don’t want to be in too early don’t want to be out too late. We can’t decide for you but think of the volunteers. *If you are fast and you go wrong don’t be a plank when passing slower runners on a single track. It’s YOUR FAULT you are where you are. *Say thanks to marshals on the course. They are people too. *Have fun and be safe but be nice (That includes on the forum too) *If you can’t finish the race you have to let the RD know where you are and that you are ok. *All the real fun is at the finish line don’t rush off. New runners to IMRA someone will always talk to you. *Buy a pair of flipflops…. We need to stop wearing our mucky runners to the pubs. *Prizes are pages. We are going digital with our race vouchers. Vouchers (printed page) will be given on the night but if you don’t go to the prize giving you will get your voucher in the EMAIL. This is new and I am not the best with IT so please be patient with me I am a real person too. *Volunteer *Carpool *Volunteer *Repeat If I have missed anything, please add to it. We are a little over a week away from the summer really starting. So be safe be nice and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Liam |
Vivian O'Gorman | Apr 14 2024, 8:28pm | Hi All, Wednesday night racing is back!! First off is the Killiney Hill Charity Relay race. Next Wednesday. The following Wednesday - 24th April - our first Leinster League race - The Little Sugarloaf in the Belmont Demense. So as we are just starting and I am the Leinster League Director!! I am looking for Race Directors for two League Races - Brockagh and Prince Williams Seat. As well as Laptop Operator, First Aid and Volunteers. I am also looking for Laptop Operators - First Aiders and Volunteers for a number of the other League Races... So please don't be shy!! Put your name and we can get on with the races... Don't forget you have to Volunteer twice in a non running role to get a prize at the end of the League. One last thing, for the moment, is please please Car Pool!! |
Vivian O'Gorman | Apr 18 2024, 4:50pm | Hi All, Right now we have two free Wednesday nights!! That is because we have no RD for either Brockagh or Prince Williams Seat... No RD - No Race. So come on there are quite a number of you out there that is more than able to Race Direct a race. If you are a bit uneasy I will Deputy RD - for free!!! If not me there are plenty of others who will help you no problem. So why not give it a try?... |
Vivian O'Gorman | Apr 18 2024, 5:14pm | Thanks to Brian McGuckin. He is RD for Prince Williams Seat. Just need one for Brockagh now... |
