| Alice Clancy | Jul 15 2024, 8:45pm | A huge thank you to Robbie and the Munster hosts for such a great weekend of mountain running! The variety of races giving access to and exploring such epic and ruggedly beautiful terrain and the generosity of the hosting was extraordinary. The race choices meant that there was an option for every ability and level of mountain runner over the weekend. The Reeks Vertical has become one of my favourite races - up there with the Galty Crossing! The new 3 lakes race is a great challenge too, winding through beautiful parts of the valley one never really gets the chance to explore. Everything was so well organised, the marking and marshalling of tricky terrain was expertly done and the encouragement of the marshals and volunteers and good craic throughout made for such a fun and uplifting weekend getting to grips with the Reeks! Anyone who's curious - sign up next year!! I can guarantee you that you’ll become an annual devotee of the Kerry weekend! |
