As you know this race is being used as a trial for selection for the U18 2025 Youth Cup.
Owen Connolly is offering a course recce at Slievenamon on Saturday 19th April at 10:30 for anyone who is eligible to qualify (athletes born in 2008 and 2009).

Eugene O KeeffeMay 6 2025, 10:53pmHi folks, just found out that there is a communion service on in the village on sunday morning starting at 11.30am. Can participants please carpool as much as possible and there will be no parking for IMRA in the village - only in our designated carpark. It is nice and dry so no problems like last year !

There is a Holy Communion taking place in Kilcash church so strictly no parking in the village.

* Please Carpool where possible.

* Parking will be In a field directly across from the start line. Please bring €2 for parking per car.

* Registration will also be in this field.

* There are toilets up behind the Community centre

* Finish line for the main race will be at the grotto in the village, where you will be promptly asked to proceed back to the field for refreshments. As to not interfere with the local Holy Communion please adhere to the stewards instructions. Thanks.

It was great to see the large number of juniors out for the trial race and it restores ones faith in humanity that not every youngster has been lost to social media!!! Congrats to the winners and those juniors that will be selected from the trial race, the future of running up mountains is in fine fettle judging by the strong performances out there today.
