Route Description:
Race is almost completely on good quality track, the upper sections although steep has a grassy surface. This should lead to a fast race particularly the completely down hill return leg. The final up hill section is on eroded bog track and underfoot conditions will depend on recent weather conditions. The race turnabout is at the cliff edge with spectacular views. There will be no racing along cliff edge and turn will be moved back from cliff in case of poor visibility.
Organisers Instructions:
Race starts in Teelin about 800m up narrow single track road 2.5 km South of Carrick. Co. Donegal Gr. G579769. As parking is rather limited we would ask runners to meet in Carrick and travel on only in full cars and follow instructions of parking marshall.
Prizegiving Location:
Slieve League Inn, Carrick

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
