Niall EnrightJun 28 2010, 11:01pmThis Wednesday's hill run is on Tountinna near Ballina. We'll meet in the car park on the l.h.s before Gooser's pub in Ballina at 7.45pm. The run starts about 2 miles from here.
To get to Ballina, take the Dublin road from Limerick and take the first exit off the roundabout after Birdhill. This will take you to Ballina. Gooser's is on the right as you come into Ballina. If you get to a roundabout, you've gone too far.

This run will also be the used as the fifth of our IMRA series of 8 hill-runs. If you want to take part in the IMRA series please arrive at the car-park before 7.30pm to allow us time to register and issue race numbers. If you did any of the previous IMRA races you'll be using the same race number but will still have to register for this race. Please bring your race number with you. If you didn't do any of the previous races you can still join the series at this point.

The run itself will start on tarmac for the first few hundred metres, and then onto way-marked trail before rejoining tarmac for the last kilometre or so to the top. We will be running up and down on the same trail. The distance will be approximately 8km with a height gain of 310metres.

Bring a change of clothes for the usual well earned pint/cuppa in O'Riain's afterwards.
