The post Summer League Trail series of races got off to quite a hectic start tonight.
92 runners in all (the chairman finisher missed two and two more were wearing wrong numbers).
If you were any of these four let me know and we will try to fit you into the results.

Some of you were familiar with the route as it is used by Crusaders in their Djouce Joggers Handicap at Christmas.
It stars with a very fast down hill section which the unwary always take too fast. The crossing over the river was completely covered over by fallen tree which had to be climbed over or crawled under. Those thinking they were taken the smart option by going around the obstacle were not and sank to their knees in mire. The section around the dried out Paddock Lake offers runners a chance to view the chasing pack and see you is on their tail.

The last section through single track forest is very pleasant but can be punishing as it is very runnable and you are put under pressure from fast finishers
