Getting There:
Registration and prizegivong at Butterfly Farm Equestrian Center, Raheen, Camolin.Y21 AE61- eircode to Butterfly for google maps. There is a €2 charge per car for parking at the centre. From Carnew: Take the R725 heading to Gorey. Take the first right signposted Camolin. 4km down this road take a right, signposted Camolin and also a sign for Butterfly Farm. At the bottom of hill take the next right, signposted Butterfly Farm. 2km down this road Butterfly Farm on the left hand side. From Camolin coming from the south: Take a left at the Parkside pub, signposted Ballyduff. At the T junction, take a right into Ballyduff village. Church and school on the left. DO NOT TAKE THE NEXT LEFT SIGNPOSTED SLIABH BUI. Further down this road there is a left turn signposted Butterfly Farm, turn left here. 2kms down this road, Butterfly Farm on the right.
Organisers Instructions:
This race has a nice mix of single track, forest trail and for those that feel the need for speed, lots of fire road. The long course first brings the runner on a climb up Slievegower before heading onto the fireroad to include a tough 2km climb up to the mast on Sliabh Bui. The Junior Route/Short Route is approx 4.5km, it does not go to the mast on Sliabh Bui however it has a few tough climbs to bring the runner onto Slievegower- although route will be fully marked and well marshaled, it is advised that parents run with their children. *** EARLY START *** If you are usually greater than 160% of the winning persons time at IMRA races, please avail of the early start at 10.30. The early start is ONLY for those with an estimated finishing time of greater than 160%. Contact the Race Director before setting off as everyone will go together. Under IMRA rules for competitor's safety, it is mandatory to bring and carry a jacket that is shower and wind proof for the entire race. Any competitor seen not carrying or wearing their jacket at any stage in the race will be disqualified. There are no exceptions to this rule! TRAIL RUNNERS ARE RECOMMENDED. Payment may be made by either ENTERING ONLINE ahead of event and paying the €7/€5 entry fee or USING A RACE VOUCHER ON THE DAY. Any 2016/2017 race vouchers with races remaining can be carried forward for use in 2018. Online registration will close 6pm the day before the race to facilitate getting list of entrants over to race directors in time. As usual vouchers can be used to purchase multiple entries to facilitate registering for children, friends etc. Runners will also be responsible for their own numbers at the end of the race and will be required to keep them and bring them with them for next race. NEW IMRA MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURE FOR 2018! All competitors must be IMRA members. IMRA membership costs €10 for a calendar year. It is unrelated to membership of other athletic clubs. IMRA membership cannot be purchased at the race, you must follow these steps beforehand: Login to your "myimra" account on www.imra.ie. If you don't have an account, create one using the REGISTER FOR MYIMRA link, and follow the instructions carefully. Go to the PURCHASE IMRA PRODUCTS page and purchase 2018 membership using a credit/debit card. Bring the membership confirmation email containing your race number for the year with you to your first race Get a bib number at your first race, and hold on to it, as it's valid for the full year. Note: If you are not a 2018 IMRA member or don't know your race number, it will not be possible to enter the race.

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
