Route Description:

Starting in Cahir, then to Farbreaga, Greenane, Galtee Beag, Galtee Mor, Slievecushnabinna, Carrignabinnia, Lyracappul, and Temple Hill with the finish at Anglesboro. Map of route here.

Entry closes Thursday 25th June. No entry on the day.

On the morning of the race we will be meeting in Angelsborough - we have a field booked in Angelsborough for parking - no parking in the village please. Sign in on the morning from 7am to 7.45 the bus to the start leaves Angelsborough at 8am sharp - please be on it.

The race will follow roads and then enter the woods and up onto open mountain. There will be set Kites (Orienteering orange and white)to pass on each major summit and stamp card. Cross the Galtees and finish at the Village Hall in Anglesbourogh, where hot food will be provided. A true mountain adventure. Be advised a full mandatory kit will be needed (A longsleeved rainproof running jacket. Hat and Gloves, Whistle, map, compass). Runners are advised to be navigation smart or run with (and stay with) friends who are.

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
