Organisers Instructions:
Runners will start just after the barrier and ease into a steady climb for 800m on forest double track before starting a 2.5k descent on a steep grassy hill and turning onto the Queens Drive past Killegy Lodge.
From here, slot left into the wood on "Lemmings" single track . Hairpin left ,then more steep downhill double track running before turning hairpin right for more level ground.
Turn left past a natural reservoir into single track woods and meandering through the "Pine Needles" trail, then left again for a short distance before slotting right towards "Queens Drive"
From here , the fun starts with a nice steady uphill before turning left into the woods to ascend "Murphs Trail". Nice 200m lung buster in the middle of this and then a lovely mossy downhill through a stream and right onto "Mossy Farm" double track which continues right and carries you back towards Killegy Lodge again. Continue back the way you came, up the hill but this time turn right and next left to climb "Bomb Holes". Another wee lung buster. It's all downhill upon turning right and right again on double track before square left and the final 800m to the finish just next to the carpark.
An extra bit of fun single track may be added if weather permits.
Trail shoes with good grip advised.
Kids race at 10.15 and short course 10.30
Please bring your own cup. There will be no disposable cups at this event.

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
