Three Route variations.
2km U14 (Crohaun)
8km Junior/Short (White Standing Stone on Main Route)
12km full (Seefin)

Main route starts with a 3km long climb on a peat based trail, up to the summit of Coumaraglin. Runners will pass scaffolding with aerials, and follow the fence line north, staying to the left of the fence at all times. There is then a drop to the gap, where the trail passes a white standing stone, leading to a steep climb towards Seefin. The trail fades away and runners should head back towards the fence line to the top of the steep climb. Staying with the fence (and keeping to the left of the fence), the climb eases for the last kilometre to the top. The turnaround point is close to the summit, but as the summit is on the right of the fence, runners are asked not to go to the summit. A Marshall will turn runners for the return leg. The return leg follows the same route, staying on the same side of the fence.

Getting There:

Coming from Dungarvan: Head east on the N25 towards Waterford. You will enter a 60km/hr zone which takes in a long bend to the left. Once you reach the end of the 60km/hr zone, continue on the N25 for 2.3km, then turn left...

Coming from Waterford: Head west on the N25 towards Dungarvan. You will pass through a village called Lemybrien (there is a large Applegreen on the Dungarvan side, last chance to stop at a shop before race venue!). On leaving Lemybrien, travel 3.5km towards Dungarvan, then turn right...

... and take L3019 towards Kilrossanty, also signposted for Comeragh Drive and Mahon Falls. Follow L3019 for 1.4km, then turn left (may be signposted for Kilbrien). Follow this road for 4.4km to the race location (which is at the high point of the road, before it goes downhill).

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
