Organisers Instructions:
Runners will start at Kyle Farmhouse B&B following the Kyle Loop marked way. The first 2km is a climb of +200m elevation gain at the top of the climb runners will cross the stile following the Kyle loop that runs alongside the wind farm.

As you pass by the windfarm the wind turbines will always be on your left as you get close to the end of the wind farm there is a gate at the edge of the forestry, runners will continue pass to the left of the gate between the forestry on your left and the fence of the field on your right.

The way marker at the gate is not obvious but there will be a will be marked too. About 3km into the race runners reach the corner of the forest and will turn left over the stile. The Forestry will now be on your left until it joins the Mangans and Ballycumber trails and descends and joins the Wicklow Way at the bottom. Keep following the trail markers for the Wicklow Way route as it ascends the shoulder Garryhoe hill eventually at approximately 7km you reach Ballycumber Lane turn left and follow the Wicklow way for 200m to the Luke O’Toole memorial stone turn left following the Ballycumber Loop.

The route ascends passing Grouse Lodge on your left, eventually the route leaves the forest continues over rough and muddy terrain with the forest on the right and open hill side on the left. At about 10km the Mangans loop joins up and the route continues to the stile where it left the Windfarm. At this point the route retraces back to Kyle Wind farm on the right descending back to the finish at Kyle B&B

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
