Dublin Mountain Plod
Sunday 18 July, 2010
7 (2,2,3) - Moderate Terrain, 200M - 500M ascent, >10Km
- Route fully marked
The Dublin Mountains Partnership in conjunction with the Irish Mountain Running Association are offering a trail half marathon into the scenic Dublin Mountains. The event starts and finishes in beautiful Marlay Park and winds its way up through the nature trail of Massy's Estate before joining a newly created section of the Dublin Way though Cruagh Wood before ascending the spectactular Tibradden ridge trail and joining the Wicklow Way back to Marlay Park. This route has 820m of climb, and covers a variety of terrain. It is an event for enthusiastic trail runners. Participants will be treated to a tour of some of Dublin's most popular trails. Two water stations will be provided.
You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for Leinster League finisher's prize
Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for Leinster League finisher prize
