Instructions from Coillte website: here

Carpool from the Ashford House carpark if possible as Devils Glen car park holds 30 cars, overflow holds 5, and there is room along the broader parts of the forest road for additional cars.

From Ashford follow the signs for Roundwood/Glendalough (there are 2 Y-junctions). Be careful to avoid the left turn for Rathdrum in the 2nd y-junction. Ignore the first red sign for Devils Glen (this is a residential area named after the Glen). Coming up a steep hill, you'll see a small car park to your right with big Coillte signs (and map of the Glen) clearly named Devils Glen. Drive through the barrier and follow the forest road all the way to the end at the bigger 2nd car park.
From N11
1. Take the Ashford Exit of the N11 2. In the next three round-abouts follow signs to Ashford 3. Drive straight into Ashford Town and take a right in the round-about 4. Carpark on your left next to the Ashford House is a good place to park for carpoolers. Prize-giving is here afterwards 5. In 1st Y-junction (Nuns Cross), keep straight (sign to Glendalough) 6. Ignore the red-black sign for the “Devil’s Glen” (it’s a residential area) on your right 7. 2nd Y-Junction: Take a right up the hill (sign for Glendalough) 8. Road gets very steep: At first major bend, slow down, and turn right into small Coillte carpark on your right (sign-posted Devil’s Glen) 9. Drive through the barrier up the forest road and follow parking marshals instructions further down

Volunteers (Non-Running)

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
