Route Description:
It is intended to run the same route as was used by the Winter League in 2010.
Getting There:
Take the N11 to Wicklow and follow the road signs towards Rathnew/Wicklow. Take the Rathdrum/Glenealy road at the roundabout in Rathnew. Arriving into Glenealy turn right. Parking and registration are at Glenealy GAA grounds which is c. 200m from turn, on your left hand side coming from Glenealy. Glenealy GAA have kindly offered us use of their facilities for registration. Registration will open at 6:10 and close at 7:10 sharp to allow for people to get to the start - which is 1km up from GAA on a cul de sac (follow sign to Christmas tree farm).
Organisers Instructions:
Start is at Glenealy, Co. Wicklow. Actual race start is at end of cul de sac just inside yellow barrier. PARKING: NO SINGLE OCCUPANCY CARS. Please car pool / car share as parking is LIMITED. Prize giving is in Chester Beatties pub in Ashford. People could park there and car-pool over to Glenealy. Early start (by exception only): At 7:10pm. The record for this route is actually 43:22 from the Winter League in 2010 (Eoin Brady). This route is 99% the same route. A very minor variation on the top left of the route.

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
