Follow this down to the Dam of the old reservoir. Turn right, following the fire-road all the way up to the gate onto the Wicklow Way. Turn left and continue on the Wicklow Way to the base of Djouce. Turn right and climb to the summit of Djouce from the east. Descend the south trail to the boardwalk. Turn left onto the WW Way again, this time heading North-East. Continue down to the stile. Turn right and follow single track all the way down to the dried reservoir. Cross the stream then ascend to the carpark. Continue on the path in the wood parallel to the road all the way back to the designated crossing point (Djouce Woods, Calary). Return the same route back to Sugarloaf carpark. Climb as far as the turn for the Sugarloaf Way, turn right. Now it’s nearly all downhill to the finish. Left at the bottom of the grassy descent, onto the new trail and follow this all the way to the finish by the GAA pitch.

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
